Island Inn

this my first time coming back here since Hurricane Ian and I have to tell you the folks at Island Inn have really outdone themselves. the rooms are very spacious and include a full kitchen everything you need to make a meal is provided, and, plates and so forth. the only thing I dint like was the coffee maker is very old, it needs an upgrade. it has a very large balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. and the sunrises and sunsets here are spectacular. please do bring bug spay and the feisty mosquitos come out. they provide housekeeping services but only if you request it. they rent bicycles and kayacs. the front office staff is very knowledgeable about Sanibel and can provide any information, they provide a list of places that are open for business. they also have laundry facilities on si

We recently enjoyed our third stay at Island Inn and, as we experienced the previous trips, we had a fantastic time. The team there is truly incredible. Our room was so comfortable and we could enjoy the views from our room of the gulf. Their location makes it easy to get anywhere on Sanibel/Captiva for shopping, dining or shelling, although we think the best place to shell on the gulf coast is right there at the Island Inn beach. We are looking forward to our visit again next year!

We had a great stay. We stayed in a room in the Starky Lodge suites. The rooms were clean and convenient. There're was a clean smell to the room, but not masked with air fresheners. A kitchenette with anything you would need, a microwave, full size stove/fridge, tea kettle and coffee pot. There was a front door that opened to the parking area and front deck; and the rear door was a huge sliding door that opened up the a screened-in private patio. That patio opened up to the ocean and private beach. It was peaceful. The simple conveniences included things like a broom/dust pan in each room to take care of all the sand that will inevitably end up on the floor. We are planning a stay on Sanibel Island in January of 2027, and after checking out alot of resorts, came upon Island Inn. We stopped in on a whim hoping to get some information before booking a stay. We met Ken in their office and he was more than gracious to us. Not only did he explain about the resort, but brought us over to the rooms and gave us a tour. He did a fantastic job and we can't wait to spend time there. Brad Kristufek
