Tamarack Lodge Motel

This was such a magical stay for my boyfriend and I. We came in the winter and it is only a 15 min drive to Palisades. The host Gerard was so lovely and kind. He was very accommodating and attentive to any needs we had. Highly recommend this place! Perfect bang for your buck. I recommend getting coffee and pastries at Sugarpine Bakery (less than 3 min drive).

We had a great stay at Tamarack Lodge. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, and shown to our studio cabin, Sweet 16. The cabin was very cozy, clean and updated. We especially loved the kitchen and fireplace. Parking was easy too. Highly recommend staying here.

The owners are fabulous and always checking in to see if everything's satisfactory with your room|Updated rooms in Tahoe Lodge style and just|gorgeous! Location is great, just outside Tahoe City and Burton Creek state park right behind for wonderful hikes through the wooded hills. Dogs are welcome in some of the designated rooms which is wonderful - our dog loved going on walks around the property and the state park up the road a bit. |We've stayed here several times over the years and always love going back. Made the mistake of staying in a hotel right in the middle of|South Lake near the casinos one year and won't ever do that again |Tahoe City is peaceful and with easy access to Emerald Bay and Sugar Pine Point State park as well as Sand Harbor and Incline Village. |We'll be back soo

A great place to stay. Family owned, and the owners are super nice and helpful. Came by in a storm to help us with our chains and clearing off our cars. Rooms are great, and have a very cozy vibe. Amenities were great as-well, as we booked a room with a kitchen, and had no issues with anything.

A warm and wonderful stay at Tamarack Lodge! The friendly owner, Gerard, greeted us as soon as we parked by the office. He escorted us to our room, 31, upstairs in the main lodge. I requested a quiet room and it was! ||The room is filled with handcrafted wood furniture and detailing. Its kitchen is petite and complete with all you need to prepare simple meals. New-looking bathing area is small but definitely functional for two people. I loved the wood cabinetry the sink sat in. Excellent water pressure and hot water never ran out. Beds were super comfy. 100% clean everywhere. Tons of restaurants and shops just down the road.
