Sweetwater at Lake Conroe

This place is AWFUL. Security guards are high and not helpful. There are no signs for the office. Their answering service knows less than the front desk. The shower drains drain so slow when you take a shower, it's like taking a bath. Everything is old like in my great grandmother's house. The dishwasher is rusty. There aren't TVs in two of the bedrooms. The locks on the door barely work. I mean what else could be wrong or worse! COMPLETELY mismanaged and a dump.

It was cheaper than others, so I thought I stumbled upon a great deal, but you truly get what you pay for. While the grounds of the property are amazing, the rental is old and outdated. The wooden fixtures, old tiling, and thin carpeting remind me of Three's Company. The internet is snail-like, and when we entered, there actually was an older people stench. I wish this all was an exaggeration, but alas. Overall, if you are searching for just a place to lay your head, it's perfect. If you desire your residency to accommodate a vacation "experience," this ain't it.

The condo is dated, about 40 years gone. TVs are too small. No TV in bedroom with king size bed. Internet is too slow, too limited. Cleaning of unit was less than desirable, Dirty underwear left laying behind dresser, similar problem in one bathroom. Staff manager was friendly and helpful. Golf course was average. We had a great view in #23. Yes, there were deficiencies but we still had a good time. Oh, never buy a time share. They are a bad bargain.

The location was great... A short walk to the pool, and a view of the lake behind it... The space, and layout itself was also very adequate...it just overall has a dated feel ....as well, The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star was the check in process... . We came a day late, and this was not smooth as a consequence.. the office appears to close Sundays..and no one answered the phone when I called. So I left a message... Eventually, The answering service called back and only provided spotty check in information... -(they knew our room number, but not where the black box was that contained our entry door key) Small thing in the big pidture, but worthy of a mention... Overall, a good vacation! :)

Staff was friendly, the pool was out and has been out for over a year according to staff with no real timeline for opening. The other main negative was the internet speed it was absolutely terrible, it was around 1 to 1.5 mbps. The golf course was nice, as well as tennis. The lake was beautiful however, the condo was dated (80s maybe) and could use a few updates as well as the boardwalk. The boardwalk was functional but you can tell it had been there a long time many of the boards were loose. Overall I would recommend it was a nice area and quite.
