SW Beach Hotel

We recently celebrated our wedding reception at SW Beach Hotel, renting several rooms including the penthouse and rooftop. Overall, we truly enjoyed the venue itself and had a wonderful time celebrating. The location is excellent, and staff members like Dulce and Carlos were fantastic. However, our experience with the manager, Chris, was deeply disappointing and unprofessional. During our initial tour, Chris told us that the owner of Stella Rosa and San Antonio Winery was also the owner of SW Beach Hotel (although online it lists Sandy). The day before our rooftop reservation, he stated that he wanted to convert the penthouse into a restaurant but could not do so until the current owner who was about 80 years old died. The location of the property is great — very close to the beach, and the rooftop is really nice. The complimentary bicycles are also a good addition. However, the Coastal Suite was extremely small. It was also very noisy, and the bed felt quite worn out. The room has only one window, which opens directly into the bar area. From my perspective, this is quite questionable, especially regarding privacy and security. Communication was only possible via email, and there was no responsible person on-site. None of my complaints were addressed — I only received automated standard responses, which was very disappointing. Overall, this feels more like a B&B than a hotel. Unbelievable location in Hermosa for this boutique hotel. Had a great stay here for 5 nights last month. The rooftop was pretty amazing and being just a block from the beach and HB Pier with everything around there was fantastic. Nice touch with the bikes and volleyball to enjoy the strand/bike path while there. Great stay--I'll look to be back next time I'm back in my hometown.

Perfect Place if you want nice beachlife without masses of Tourists! Very friendly Team and rooms equipped with love and passion! The absolute only thing is that for European Ratsmitglied is a bit of poorly soundproofed! Parking on the street can be a problem on weekends.

We stayed January 21,22,23 2026 Great location & affordable , easy walking distance & very close to beach, pier, shopping & restaurants. Hotel & room was Clean & it’s a very quiet boutique Hotel. Free bikes to use for guest, lovely roof top with great views.
