Sea Sprite Beach Club

My experience at this hotel was a mix of great service and disappointing accommodations. The customer service was truly amazing. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to be helpful, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the room itself did not meet expectations. The bed and the tile flooring constantly made noise, which made it difficult to fully relax. Additionally, one of the bed sheets had what appeared to be a blood stain, which was very concerning and unacceptable in terms of cleanliness. While the service was excellent, the issues with the room significantly impacted the overall stay. I hope management addresses these concerns to better match the quality of their staff’s hospitality.

The property is in a prime location on the beach. It has been completely remodeled and modernized. The rooms and property were well maintained and very clean. Every employee I interacted with were professional and polite, and truly wanted our stay to be extraordinary.

My husband and I are locals and were so happy when Surfer Girl opened up at Sea Sprite -- it's so cute and the location is absolutely perfect. It has a stunning view, great drink list, and such nice staff. We decided to throw our wedding celebration on their roof top and it was such a wonderful evening. We planned the event with Angela and she was so helpful and nice during the whole process and made everything really easy -- and it turned out even better than I could have imagined! Jenna and Madison took care of us during the party and were so terrific, and the food was delicious. When an overnight layover at LAX turned into 3 nights because of storms on the East Coast, we decided to spend our time here instead of one of the dreary hotels near the airport. The Sea Sprite was a mixed bag for us. The positives: Very cool vibe; great location on The Strand near shops and restaurants; very nice and clean rooms; our oceanview king had a huge window looking over the courtyard to the beach and ocean; beach volleyball games were fun to watch; the front desk welcomed us warmly and thoroughly when we arrived and ordered a taxi to take us back to LAX. Minor negatives: There is no elevator, although the front desk staffer carried our (heavy) luggage up to our room. Our room had very little lighting—we couldn’t read a magazine in the evening. Disappointing Experience at This Overpriced Beach HotelMy stay at this beachfront motel was extremely disappointing, especially given the premium price of $600 per night in July. The accommodations were more akin to a budget motel than a luxury beach hotel.Upon arrival, we found sand on the floors and in the beds, despite not having visited the beach yet. This indicated that the room had not been properly cleaned before our check-in. Furthermore, the sheets had visible stains, and the supposedly "freshly changed" pillowcases were equally dirty.The air conditioning was another major letdown.
