Surf & Sand Beach Motel

😊: This motel is situated right on the beach. The gardens and public areas were well maintained. Lots of parking. The room was big with chairs outside which was nice. There was a very nice restaurant just a ten minute walk along the road.. 😢: The beds were old and were not very comfortable, the sound proofing was very poor - we could hear every word of the couple next door. Coffee was provided in the public area and there was a flask for hot water for tea but it was never filled. Overall the accommodation was clean but feels dated..

Positive: We loved hotel employee! She greeted us when we arrived. She was personable, efficient, professional, extremely helpful and compassionately patient. My husband and I plan on returning. We hope hotel employee will be there too. Negative: A person at front desk upset us. She, initially, was very helpful. We needed names of local urgent care facilities. I became ill, last day of stay. We informed her regarding the diagnosis. We wore masks. Upon checking out she humiliated us.

😊: All rooms facing the ocean, staff was friendly. Well kept grounds.. 😢: In my opinion, the mattress needs to be changed, can feel the coil springs on back while sleeping.Had a room with 2 double beds , ideally would be better if they where Queen size..

First and foremost is location, location location! You simply can't beat this quaint motel's proximity to surf and sand - literally! The surf being the gorgeous and nearly always calm and serene Nantucket Sound. Virtually seaweed- free with clear, warm and very swimmable surf for beach- lovers of all ages. From young children who can safely frolic in the water and catch small fish to active adults who may love to swim, rent a kayak from a local outfitter, or simply stroll along about a mile of soft white sand, beachfront; about 200 feet of which is private and reserved exclusively for Surf and Sand guests.||We have stayed here for the past 10 years in late July and early August and are always warmly welcomed by Robert at the front desk. Special requests and warm welcomes are a staple here.

We had a great time! Loved this place. Room was clean. Nice kitchenette, cute lil patio, awesome heated pool, right on the beach— perfect getaway! Staff were helpful and friendly! Lots of outdoor comfy chaise lounges and chairs too! We will return soon. Catherine Blish
