Blue Rock Resort

Stayed here for a week the 2nd week of June. We were greeted by a lovely lady at the front desk who checked us in. She gave us all the info we needed to settle in. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the pool. The grounds were in great shape and weel kept/ The bed was a little to soft my taste but that's a preference of mine and it wasn't uncomfortable. The room was clean and roomy. The biggest problem we had was that the shower head was awful. Not enough warter pressure on one setting, and it came out like a garden hose on the other setting. Also, the continental breakfast wasn't very good. So-so coffee, prepackaged muffins, cakes and breads for toast. Just a few bananas for fruit. Exceptional staff. Room was clean & fresh. Continental breakfast in the morning. Outdoor heated pool. Every room has a view , with either a patio or balcony. They also have a golf course, for the golfers in your family. I highly recommend this Resort!!!

We arrived the property approximately 2 hours before check in time. Since we had an electric cooler we asked if we could possibly check in early. The receptionist (Jose was very professional and accommodating. ). As it turned out he was the only positive thing about our experience there. We were given room 108. Located as far away from the parking area as possible. Upon entering there was an unpleasant musty smell . I was astounded that the room was actually below ground. The room was similar to something you would get off an interstate for $49.95. The breakfast was a joke. Packaged sweet rolls and muffins with an offering of froot loops or raisin bran.(I'm not kidding). No coffee maker or microwave in the room. Our first visit to the Blue Rock and we were very pleased. Our room was clean on our arrival with no issues. People have complained about the thin walls but we did not have any issues, other than hearing the folks upstairs walking around. The pool was in great shape and very inviting. The use of the beach area at the sister resorts was an excellent perk. Our only complaint was the breakfast. We didn't expect much going in, but found at times the coffee was empty as well as condiments etc. But this was minor and did not hinder our enjoyment!

Nice, a little worn but clean. Wish the bed looked less plain and a third pillow for the king bed or two king pillows would be better.|Bathrooms kept up nicely and plenty of towels.|Staff greeted us warmly. The pool looks lovely despite the cool damp weather.
