Surf Club At Montauk

This is a place that’s rated as a 3 star hotel charging $1k a night during the summer. They are one of the biggest ripoff’s in Montauk. A 3 star hotel charging that kind of money. The rooms are as you would expect. Just average. What you would expect from a 3 star hotel but certainly not the quality that deserves $1000 and more a night. It’s a joke. Don’t let them rip you and your family off like this. It’s a disgrace!!

Lovely property; updated unit;great location (though you will hear bar music from 2 blocks away from 3-7). Somewhat uneven service; housekeeping didnt' come one day; front desk managers did not smile once in our 3-4 visits to the front desk and appear uncomfortable. Front desk manager on duty when we checked in wavered between service and taking care of her baby who was behind the desk ; resort/condo general manager not pleasant when we complained that housekeeping had forgotten to come. Also houseekeeping staff was using the small gym and since gym is underequipped there were no weights available that work. Even in peak season, we still expect management to tell housekeeping not to use the gym when customers are paying $1200 per night. And we still expect management to provide some semb

The title says it all. It took me 3 washes to get that awful mold stench out of my clothing. The room is fully carpeted which means MOLD MOLD MOLD! The room is constantly damp and gross. The floors are slick with mildew and the AC units are filthy in much need of a cleaning. Disgusting place for $1,000 per night. Rooms have no view and the front desk is insufferable. Even the lady who brings your low-quality, rubber band, beach chairs to the beach had an attitude. Oceanfront rooms have no view. Please, what else is there to say. The place is trash!

Could not adjust temp in our rooms. The main area was freezing. And in one bedroom a/c was not working. Staff was very nasty. Asked them for extra blankets in room and they responded with you have two already. Why do you need more. When was at the pool asked for a towel and would not give to me and said we had six out when we never took any out. And then proceeded to ignore me and acted like I wasn’t there anymore. Last time I will be returning here. Staff needs training.

We stayed there end of May beginning of June for a couple of days. The weather was great. People are very friendly. The room was very nice. They told us the bathroom had just been renovated. Very nice! We stayed in unit 12. It is 2 block to the village restaurants and shop. Montauk bakery has great stuff.
