Offshore Montauk

Montauk has always been one of my favorite places—not just in summer, but especially in winter. When the town slows down, it becomes a peaceful escape for anyone who loves quiet, space, and time to truly recharge. This week, I stayed at Offshore Montauk, a newly opened hotel that offered excellent seasonal rates, and the experience really stood out. Booking was easy, and the pre‑arrival communication was some of the best I’ve had—friendly, clear, and genuinely attentive. The rooms feel both modern and warm: spotless, thoughtfully designed, and full of character. The staff were welcoming and professional, creating a relaxed, personal atmosphere from the start. A Stunning Oceanfront Retreat in Montauk Offshore Montauk exceeded every expectation. The hotel’s proximity to the ocean is unmatched—you’re steps away from the water, making it perfect for morning walks along the shore or simply soaking in the coastal atmosphere. The views are spectacular. Our room featured a private oceanfront balcony where we spent hours watching the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to linger and do nothing but take it all in. The property has clearly been thoughtfully renovated. Offshore has been beautifully redone and modernized. Maybe the nicest shower(s) in Montauk. Obviously great location town on one side beach on the other. Parking super easy, and Robert was amazing. Super accommodating had slight issue with WiFi being weak in the room so to service provider doing literal work on the lines…. Robert moved me and within 10 mins I was parked and settled in the new room. The ambiance and look screams classic but modern Montauk. Highly recommend.

For background.. I’ve been coming to Montauk for over 25 years. Aside from a house, I’ve stayed in hotels and resorts… most of which I enjoyed but never felt a need to return… Until Offshore! The rooms are divine. The most comfortable bed and the decor was beachy. |We had the condo but I looked at the regular no kitchenette room and it’s perfect as well!! The pool is so relaxing Wonderful temperature, amazing little floaties and lovely attendants. Kirk beach is within earshot… and again, very nice attendants that set you up with a chair (so no need to bring). A perfect boogie boarding beach.|The hotel is a 5mn walk, even with luggage, from the hampton jitney, and plenty of Ubers. Grocery store and multiple restaurant 2-3 minutes away. Had a lovely stay at Offshore Montauk! We stayed in a dune view king which is located on the ground level. The rooms are very modern and beautiful. I really appreciated the small touches like pillow mist and the most luxurious towels I've ever felt. The only challenge was the switches to turn the lights on/off were kind of odd and difficult to use. We stayed here during early October when we were in town for a wedding and the location is perfect - close to the beach and walking distance to downtown. The staff is also super responsive and helpful. I'd love to come back to Montauk during the summer to do a proper beach getaway and would definitely stay here again.
