My partner and I booked an off-season stay directly with Ron and put down a $1,000 deposit. A couple of days before check-in, my partner was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer, and I notified Ron immediately. We spent the days we were supposed to be on our trip at the hospital for appointments, scans, and tests.||Despite the medical emergency — and the fact that it was the off-season with availability still showing online — he refused to return the deposit or offer a reasonable alternative. I then offered to move our booking to a June weekend, paying an additional $600. Once we had my partner’s chemo schedule (shared over two months in advance), it became clear we still couldn’t travel. Stayed 2 nights in April 2024 - Great Location, Dogs are welcome. Was assigned Unit 7A - Large unit with 4BR, 2Baths (1 king, 2 Queen/full, 2 twin beds) has 2 BR 1 Bath upstairs and 3 beds 1Bath downstairs. Huge Kitchen well equipped / LR Open area - 1 TV in unit in Living Room. Couches do not pull out. Extra pillows and bedding found in closets. Had a picnic table in front, small patio out back (no chairs out back). Uphill trek from parking area but worth it for the view! Quick and easy access to the beach. Very relaxing weekend - Management was very nice and great communication via text. Grounds were well maintained and very clean! ☀️Lenhart’s cottages were the perfect blend of cozy and quaint with touches of beach vibes that suited all of our families needs while we ventured Montauk. Located along the Old Montauk Highway these cottages are hidden along the quiet coastal road. Easy driving distance to “downtown” it was an amazing escape within the escape. Walking distance to a beach (decent amount of stairs) that was very quiet and felt private…we were lucky enough to see a whale venture its way along the coast🐳. Swimming pool available during the day as well which was never crowded. We will definitely be staying here again if available🤞🏼

Did a weekend getaway with my dog at Lenhart's this past weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Drove 2 hours to paradise. Check in was quick and easy, office was off the main parking lot (Great communication with the owner via text). We weren't sure which cottage we were getting, but I requested one with a separate bedroom (not studio). Was directed to unit 7A, which upon opening the door, I was floored. Huge open room with long kitchen counter the length of the room, table for 6, 2 couches, TV and fireplace. Well appointed Kitchen with silverware/knives, dishes, pots/pans, microwave, toaster, tea pot and coffee makers, Ice in the freezer ready to go! COTTAGE ||We were very excited about our new vacation spot. We have come to Montauk every year for the past 15 years and my husband, since he was a child. We have relatives who live here. ||Upon arrival at the cottage I had asked for the bedsheets for the sleeper couch as my husband and I cannot sleep together, and this was made very clear before we agreed to come here. ||The couch was old and the mattress in very bad bad conditionIt was extremely uncomfortable. We took turns and tried several ways of trying to make it comfortable, even putting plywood under it and using my mattress topper. All request for a new couch or mattress were denied. We clearly stated we needed to use the couch but Ron said it will be fine just bring pillow top cover. Couch was in very poor condition, buttons rip
