Daunt's Albatross Motel

This boutique motel is absolutely charming and thoughtfully designed with great taste. It’s pet-friendly, the rooms are spotless, and the area is peaceful and quiet. The location is ideal and convenient. The staff is incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Being family-owned makes the experience feel even more warm and welcoming. Highly recommend! (Stayed during winter time and pricing was very reasonnable.)

Had a fantastic stay here over Thanksgiving weekend. Check in was very easy and friendly even though it was late evening, and from the moment I walked into the room I felt calmness. Looks like they’ve recently renovated the place, and they’ve blended the new furniture and fittings with some older more homely furniture nicely. Almost had a 1950s Palm Springs feel to it, especially with the slate floor. The bed was very comfortable indeed and the shower was great. These motels usually have paper thin walls, but heard minimal noise from the neighbors and outside, and I slept well. For the price, I think it’s a great place to stay.

Had a truly lovely stay here! Affordable for the area and still has more than you need. The pool was great, the outdoor areas were cute and the workers were wonderful. It's also in a great location. The same people own a restaurant across the street so they gave us gift cards to use there. Overall very much recommend and hope to be back soon.

I don't normally write reviews, but we had such a good time on our recent stay at Daunt's that I thought it was only fitting that I share our great experience. As a family of four it can get quite expensive to stay in Montauk for a week. We chose Daunt's for it's location and for the kitchenette. We made most breakfast and lunches either in the room or at the poolside grill, which is in excellent condition. This saved us a ton of money and also kept us by the pool, which is where we wanted to be.||The staff are incredibly friendly and always available. The motel and the restaurant across the street, Bird on the Roof, seem to be owned by the same people. They gave us a $20 coupon to dine there for breakfast and I will say it's one of the better breakfasts I've had in Montauk.||Pool was fan

Loved our winter escape at Daunt’s. Great welcome by Dylan, the rooms are very thoughtfully appointed and spacious. Their bar / restaurant across the street has an incredible cocktail list and everyone is super friendly. Can’t wait to come back in spring / summer and make the most of the pool and proximity to the beach!
