Super 8 by Wyndham Pontoon Beach IL/St. Louis MO Area

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only problem was when we walked into the motel all we smelled was smoke and it was strong. The room we stayed in had a heavy smoke scent as well. The air conditioning unit was leaking and the refrigerator wasn’t working.

Positive: The front desk worker was helpful and politr Negative: Pretty much the whole experience. It is run down, disgusting, and I can?t believe how gross it was. It looks NOTHING like the website pictures. The pool was filthy and gross. We had blankets with burn holes and the entire place was filthy.

Fairly clean and reasonably priced. The pool was very small and too cold with no hot tub but the bed was comfortable and clean. Not super up to date but not ancient. Could use some general upkeep but not the worst I've seen. As with many low cost hotel chains, there are some sleazy residents but no one bothered us. Staff was friendly. Location was just ok as it's a short drive to our venue in St. Louis.

WE DIDNT STAY THERE ALL NIGHT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CLEANLINESS AND IT WAS TERRIBLE!! front desk guy was great! BUT the first room had bugs in the bed and stains on the sheets.... they were nice enough to move us rooms, then when we got to the next room it was bugs in the sink, roaches in the fridge and MORE stains. Offered to move us rooms again (3rd time) and we didnt want that we wanted a refund... didnt get it cause we didnt check the room out as soon as we got there (expecting their employees todo what they are supposed todo) Would not recommend bringing your family here,,, definitely calling health department tomorrow price might be good but not that good !!! Then they have drug addicts and crazy people all through out here... pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 05 ,,, wil
