Super 8 by Wyndham Palestine TX

I'm from Ohio and I have had to stay here for a few weeks for work. This hotel is exceptional! The rooms are perfect, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I've had a very peaceful three weeks here. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for something peaceful and affordable in Palestine.

No doorknob in Rm 144. No shower curtain. Broken plug hairdryer. Some water under the bed next to the AC. I returned the key in the morning and showed the pictures of the identified issues as above to the front desk. Nonchalantly said sorry. Not even surprised of what was shown to him. $104/night. There is an expectation of a decent room. Super 8 by Wyndham. This is a merger of both and no assigned staff to check room readiness. If they don’t care for the obvious ie doorknob, shower curtain , your guess is as good as mine on the non-obvious. Hence, a very interrupted sleep to no sleep. I am writing this review to provide a reminder for the future guests. Check the room before you unload your stuff.

Front desk person very friendly, room was just cleaned and smelled good. Beds were comfortable and we like the sink being out side from the toilet and tub area. But when I went to take a shower the water came out brown, but it cleared up. The water never got hot enough for me. It came out the shower head warm but by the time the water reached me it was cooler feeling and I like it HOT. LOL All in all a good stay.

When older people book a downstairs room and get arrive juat to be told there are only upstairs rooms with with stairs only . . . I was worried about my hubby making it up the stairs. He made it but i had to use my rescue inhaler three times. A nice gentleman staying in the hotel came down the stairs and met me on the third step and carried them up for me. Then the beds are so high you have to climb into them. They're getting one star from me!

The beds are really comfortable. The rest of room though was very gross. The floors made your feet black. When asking the cleaning lady to mop, she pretended not to understand what we were asking when we clearly heard her speaking English to the front desk.
