Super 8 by Wyndham Lake George/Downtown

We were there the weekend of the Adirondack Nationals and our stay was great!! Staff was super friendly. We LOVED the little cookout the staff had for guests! (I would have preferred the people serving the food using gloves or utensils instead of their bare hands though.) Our room was nice and clean and freshly stocked with plenty of clean towels and wash cloths. Loved the mini toiletries!! The bed was super comfy and I slept like a baby. I wish there was a vent in the bathroom, but other than that everything was great! Also really enjoyed the coffee, juice, breakfast bars and fruit in the morning.

Positive: Location is great. The room was spotless. 3 different fire pits for our group to hang in the evening. This was our groups second time here and will keep coming back. Negative: There is nothing we didn't like.

I do not normally write reviews let alone bad ones but this place was just not it. We arrived to our room to a completely out of date room that was not cleaned properly, ac not working, tv from the early 2000s and daddy long legs spiders EVERYWHERE. we went to take a shower there was hair in the shower that i knew didn't belong to us because there was a trail of grey hair in the drain. we attempted to use the pool when a flock of birds went in and would not get out. we tried again hours later only to find bird crap everywhere including inside the pool and no one took care of it. i wish i could say that the best thing about this place was it left us in a safe space and a bed to be in but that's also diminishing our experience. the best thing was the location but upon further research found

I have stayed in rooms that were described as moldy before with just a hint of mold, but the mold smell was overwhelming. We kept our clothes in our luggage so they would not pick up the smell. Until they fix the problem, look for a better hotel. Otherwise, it is what you expect for a 40+ year old motel.

Our room was very nice and clean. Every staff member was exceptional nice and helpful. The pool was fabulous...very clean and nice temperature. They supply you with towels at the pool. They had an "ice cream social...very nice. The only of downfall was...we were told we'd have a room on the second floor...we received a room on the first floor...we could really hear the people upstairs. Kids running around. I would definitely stay here again. Very lovely owner on premises. 🤩
