Super 8 by Wyndham Johnstown/Gloversville

I checked in on a Sunday and had to move rooms on Monday because the people above me were so loud. On Tuesday I found a bed bug. When it was escalated to the manager, he would only give me a refund of one night. When I tried to talk to him about more of a refund, he had the audacity to say how he would know that I didn’t bring it with me. He also told me that a full investigation had to be done before he could refund me anymore than a night. I was informed that he was going to call me back by Friday, now here it is Monday, almost a week later, and still have to hear back from him. This goes to prove that Super 8 does not care about their customers, but only the money. Way to go Super 8!

One of the most cleanest motel/ hotels I've seen in the last 2 months... Was here over1 wk hate to go .. The staff was amazing accommodating welcoming literally whatever I needed they provided besides extra friendly especially the women that worked there. And the overnight staff was extraordinary as well. I would at the price I received per night stay Online booked,...ahead,... Super cheap and well worth every penny!

Positive: The comfort and cleanliness was perfect. Negative: I was surprised there were no closets or drawers to hang or put clothes; there was not a full breakfast such as eggs or meat; and there were no tables to sit down on to the coffee or eat the bagels, english muffins or plain donuts they offered.

The place was clean and there were no bed bugs. Those are the two major items that I look for. The soda/candy machine didn't work. The air conditioner that I ran for noise was either no noise or too loud. When there was no noise all you could hear were the cars and trucks driving by outside. It's right near a road and right there is a stoplight! So all I could hear all night long were trucks gearing down and then starting up and then all the really loud little cars. The guy upstairs at 5:15 a.m. started stomping around running from one end of the room to the other and dropping stuff on the floor. The floor creaked when he walked. Needless to say didn't get much sleep. Smallest television I have ever seen in a hotel in 50 years of traveling.

Rooms were dirty. Looks like nothing was wiped down from previous guests. Crumbs on floor and stains on tables, furniture and walls. There was black dust hanging from the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bathroom door doesn’t shut. The slide doesn’t lock into the wall so the door opens and closes as it wants to. There’s an overall unwelcoming smell in both the lobby and the rooms. Checkout time is 11 am. At 730 am on day of checkout an employee entered the room saw us still in bed and turned around and left. Around 930 am while loading luggage back into car and returning to the room the same employee was in the room again but this time had both beds stripped down and started the cleaning process. We still had food in the fridge and both our wallets and cell phones were out in the open on
