Super 8 by Wyndham Jasper

We needed an inexpensive place to stay the night after a visit to Holiday World, so we gave this Super 8 a try. I have to say, I am glad we gave this Super 8 a chance. Don't expect anything fancy - this is a no-frills, basic hotel - but it got the job done. The room was clean and we had everything we needed for a single night's stay, and we didn't break the bank in the process. The person at the desk was also friendly, handling our very late check-in with a smile. The only downside was the condition of the facility. The furniture and decor are rather dated and worn. The sink was missing the drain plug, and the countertop had damage that looked at first glance like it was unclean, but upon closer inspection it was just damaged from years of use. Positive: It was a convenient location Negative: Room was not clean (toothpaste and hair on the back of the bathroom door), sink was stopped up, there were extension cords everywhere, common area carpet was nasty, breakfast was cold cereal or old waffle mix, and we saw no sign of housekeeping.

Ok, when you think of SUPER 8, its a bit sketchy. HOWEVER, this SUPER 8 should be the model that brings the brand back to being comfortable with SUPER 8! CLEAN! friendly! Nice rooms and great price! This is really a nice Hotel located in a decent area. It was welcoming, smiling staff at our extremely late check in, smelled great and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

We recently stayed at the Super 8 in Jasper, Indiana, for two nights while attending an event at Holiday World. Overall, it was a budget-friendly place to crash, and not a bad stay considering. Most of the staff we met were really nice and helpful, which was definitely a highlight of our visit. The room itself was a bit of a mixed bag.
