Super 8 by Wyndham Highland NY

We had a comfortable king size bed with nice crispy clean sheets. The room was a good size and very clean. The room had all the amenities - coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge, microwave. The air conditioner worked quickly and was thermostatically controlled. Continental breakfast was wanting, but I really did not book the room with that being something to be considered. The water pressure and temperature consistency in the shower was awesome! That is something I place a lot of weight on - not free the breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are clean and cozy. The beds are nice, a bit too soft for my taste however. Attention in the lobby upon checking-in was excellent. The breakfast isn't great, you won't have no eggs or fruits, just your usual hotel cereal dispenser, bread, and yogurt/jam cups. There was a nice waffle machine though. It is a nice place to stay to spend the night and recharge on your to/from NY and the price is not bad either.

Hotel smelled like smoke. Rooms were clean and didn't smell. Couch in the room was old and broken. Breakfast had several options and was good. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Internet and TV worked great

Four star is given knowing that is not Ritz Carlton. The staff was very nice, Friendly and willing to accomodate, the room are large and clean as well as bathroom / bath tub! Their is a large gym (and quite well equipped) beside (although you have to pay $8 from the hotel to get in. Breakfast is as to be expected (although no eggs). Good university town less than 10 minutes away so you can get good diner and enjoy the view of the sunset. One thing to remember it is about 19 minutes off the highway. All in all pretty satisfied for the price point

Had a bad experience at this hotel. The first floor rooms smell VERY strongly of cigarette smoke. Our room had a broken glass window with packing tape keeping it together. The bathroom floor had cracked tile, there was hair in our bed when we first got there. Tried to speak to the staff about switching rooms or discounting our rate ($130 a night) but they were unhelpful. Would not recommend this hotel.
