Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Rapids/Wyoming

People complaining about this hotel it's a really old building.. the owners didn't do all the little damage people who stayed here did.. they were so kind it was refreshing no other hotel would of did what they did for me(complete stranger).my employers didn't cover a certain cost and they could of easily of denied my stay but they didn't. If they would of turned me away I probably wouldn't of even had enough gas to make it 3 hours back home, and would of lost my job, my apartment my two fur babies. 90 percent of this world is hateful, greedy and unkind.. they were the opposite. So grateful for them.. they made it to my prayer list every night. Bedding clean service perfect everything was perfect especially for the price. God bless all the owners!!

The fridge was dirty and not turned on. Bathroom was discussing pee allover tolietand tub with pubes. Bathroom door was patched together with duchtape and plywood. Walls all dirty. No hairdryer, iron, clothes rack, Clock. Room smelled heavily of bleach it was burning my eyes. No coffeepot, and no complimentary breakfast. Asked for clean room. They said no but would send housekeeping. I advised that I already had to wait 2 hrs for it to be cleaned before I could get in. I wasn't allowed to use the bathroom while I waited was told I must go somewhere else to use bathroom until my room was done. I was able to get refund after showing pictures.

My son and I were in the Grand Rapids area for a basketball tournament. We got to the hotel around 7:30pm to check in. I waiting in the lobby for approximately 15 minutes before anyone was able to assist me. The interior of the hotel smelled like old cigarette smoke, the hallways were dirty, including the carpet flooring. When in our room (319), the bed linens were covered with cigarette burned holes and had some type of "stuff" on them that we could not tell what it was. After contemplating what to do, we decided to make the best of it because we were leaving early the next morning. We turned the heat up a bit and slept on top of the cleanest sheet on the bed, in our clothes, without covers. The two sconces on either side of the bed did not have any lamp shades, the lights did not work, n

We were there for two nights paid ahead of time. We paid for a king siE bed. It's advertised as having free breakfast, it was no longer available. Our first room had holes in the wall that had been patched up, holes in the door that looked like a hammer had at it, and stab marks in the table and the toilet wasn't secured to the floor at all. When we went to the desk to complain the woman was extremely rude to my husband. They set us up in another room and we walked in and the bed wasn't a king, there were just as many holes and the toilet was also not secured. Another thing, the TV was basic cable. Didn't have the ability to connect to Netflix or anything so we spent two days in our room doing nothing and watching movies on our phones. Do not go!!!!

This was the scariest hotel experience I've ever had. My partner and I walked in, got our key, saw the room and immediately left. The reception had a employee chain smoking and didn't even look up when they gave my partner the key. The hall and room reeked of tobacco. There were bugs in the tub. A hole punched in the bathroom door. Dog food on the carpet, a hole in the fridge, and the microwave was black inside from smoke damage. We could also hear yelling from next door. This is clearly a hotel that focuses on people living there and is hotel in name only. When we said we're leaving there was no offer for a refund and they asked what the issue was. It should be obvious that this is not a place for hotel guests where they can be comfortable. I can't even imagine what it would be
