Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Dodge IA

Room smelled musty and damp. Dirt and dead bugs all around the baseboards. Ace unit filters were packed full of dust. Attached pics of the bathroom. Floor had soft spots. Tiles loose and when stepped on dirty black water squished out from under the tiles. Tiles in the shower itself weren’t even adhered to the floor and mold all around the baseboards and on the tiles. Shower attachment was held on by zip ties. Towels didn’t look clean. Dry wall rotted and paint bubbling. They used a heat lamp bulb in the bathroom unprotected if it were to break glass would end up everywhere. Not good with little kids around. When trying to sleep some of the other quests were throwing a party in the parking lot keeping me and my grandson awake till after 1am. Mini fridge didn’t work hardly at all. I will not

Snowstorm Bellamy caused us to get off the highway and stop at this hotel. I am compelled to write this review because it's so nice to have high value for your money. Our room was very clean, the bed was unexpectedly comfortable, the owner/manager was very kind and friendly. In a world where lower cost places to stay are either non-existent or scary, this was wonderful. Location is great, very safe, quiet. Wow. We're grateful to this hotel for doing an outstanding job.

Will never stay again room smells. The ac is broken and makes a very loud noise all night so i didn't get any sleep there is a used condom wrapper on the floor. And a beer cap the hallways are dirty and it looks like they haven't been clean in a very long time just a bad experience if your traveling i wouldn't recommend this hotel at all originally I booked for 2 nights only stayed one and went to a different hotel now I didn't expect to be a 5 star hotel with the price but this is just nasty

Room was clean. Bathroom doorhandle was loose fitting in the door and I had gotten stuck in the bathroom for nearly half an hour because the knob was all flappy and no longer functioning...had to wait until my friend came back from breakfast and helped me get out! Breakfast was nothing all that impressive. Saturday morning it was eggs, toast, sausage links, 2 cereal options, juice, coffee, waffle option. Sunday it was only eggs and no meat option, waffle, 2 cereals, and the drink options. Location sucks compared to the other hotels because it's all the way out on very edge of town. No convenience store close by etc.
