Super 8 by Wyndham Dumas TX

My husband checked into the Super 8 in Dumas, Texas and immediately had a terrible experience. When he inspected the bed, he found beetles under the comforter and in the bedding. He even recorded a video for documentation and refused to bring any of his belongings into the room because of how uncomfortable and unsanitary it was. His stay was supposed to be Monday through Thursday, but due to the bugs in the bed, he checked out early on Tuesday. He isn’t a confrontational person, so he simply told the front desk that his plans had changed. I called afterward to explain what had happened and to request a refund for the unused nights. The hotel is old (tired) but clean. Beds were comfortable. Could do a better job with lighting in the room. The staff was a mixed bag. One could hardly understand English and the other was exceptional and articulate. Dumas has a lot of choices to eat, Walmart superstore, gas stations. Cute town.

Nice rooms, Clean, quiet. Good nights sleep due to the very comfortable beds. Accommodating staff.

I paid $96 for $56 room. The bed was clean and comfortable. It was very noisy. Could hear talking. Was woke up at midnight with talking. Errrr! The breakfast area was SO small. One table! The food was old as I thought I might break a tooth eating the raisin bran cereal. The waffle was very good. Just no protein offered. Never could get my receipt. The elderly lady said son was not there. I would have to wait until he returns. I was ready to get in the road. Bummer. Like really you can't print a receipt!
