La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dumas

The room was 79 degrees and would not cool down. There was a car drag racing right outside for several hours in the night. The pool is closed from 9pm to 10am, the hours most people use hotels. The breakfast that they claim is "very good," is unfit to eat. Everything completely fake and tastes like chemicals. Staff at front desk unhelpful and unprofessional. The dining and pool area were beautiful and pleasant. Unfortunately, that was outweighed by the poor management of everything.

The bathroom in 422 was horrible. It needs to be torn out and redone. The phone didn't work and the Airconditioner was questionable. I won't be going back. I will say the young lady that checked us in Saturday evening was very very nice!!

Positive: Pool and spa, and surrounding area, was really nice and clean -- even heated! Also next to Window On The Plains Museum, which you can tour the outdoor portion of for free. Negative: Not particularly. Everything was good.

Staff was professional and accommodating. ||The room was in perfect order and the king bed was so comfortable that I had the best sleep in months.||The morning breakfast was also very good and was staffed to insure that there was no shortages.||I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and comfortable stop in DUMAS, TX.

Great place. We are a platinum member and after this long stay we will be a diamond member. Very quiet. Breakfast is awesome. Unfortunately pool was being worked on it looked like. However I didn't ask. Wasn't a big concern for us. Happy hour was great to have for just the wife and I with no kids. Rooms was good. Was respected by all staff. Location is great. Everything is in walking distance. Nice an bright . Elevator works good. However did freak me and the kids out around the 3rd an 4th floor. Vibrates an feels likes it wobbles a bit. Exercise room good. You can play pool. Lobby is really cool. Good place to watch football. Look forward in coming back..
