Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dumas by IHG

Absolutely Disgusting – Do Not Stay Here Holiday Inn Dumas, TX was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever walked into. 1)The pool water was dark green with a thick film floating on top. 2)A coffee spill sat in the lobby while staff stepped around it and kept chatting—no sign, no cleanup. 3)The ice machine leaked all over the hallway. A guest put down a towel because employees didn’t bother. 4)In the breakfast area, a guest reported a juice spill and every worker just sat there. Nobody moved. 5)Staff were more focused on eating breakfast and talking than cleaning tables or helping guests. 6)The floors were filthy—my socks turned grey. 7)And the absolute deal-breaker: the toilet had dried, crusted feces smeared near the handle when I went to shower. Completely unsanitary and unacceptable. 8)t

This is probably the only bad experience we have had at a holiday inn express. Our first room we were given did not even have a window shade to keep the parking lot lights out. The room that we stayed in would not really keep the room cool, but we stayed anyway. The beds were very nice as usual. But there were lots of things in the bathroom that were not cleaned properly and there was not a mat for getting out of the shower. But the worst part was the unprofessionalism in the dining area this morning. And the whole dining area was filled with flies. Many tables were dirty. Overall just not up to Holiday Inn standards.

The rooms and place definitely needs to be updated and maintained. The carpets and curtains are old and bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. I think all the things there are there from the time it was built which was a while ago. The surrounding hotels are much more pleasant for pretty much the same price. I understand if they were charging $50-60 per night but Very disappointing to pay $167 for the room we got. The breakfast was so so better at other hotels. They need to definitely also work on their customer service because Even the service was very dry and non chalant. The owner definitely needs to make some major changes and pay some attention to this place. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns but this was by far the worst. We were supposed to stay there for 3-4 nights but I checked

My wife and I stayed for two nights (Feb 11-12) and our two sons and their families occupied three rooms on Feb 12. This review is intended to cover all five of those rooms on those two nights. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. The high point for me was the personality, the pleasant attitude and the help provided for so many things by the front desk staff those two days. I believe the young man's name was Joel and there were two ladies there both days, as well. I'm sorry i do not know their names. They were helpful to our every request and very pleasant to deal with. All three were outstanding in the performance of their duties. Also, I thought the breakfast selection was really good. There was a wide variety of items and what was available was very tasty. All of our rooms were nice,

Nice holiday Inn Express as expected. Room was clean and recently remodeled. Breakfast was a typical holiday Inn Express breakfast with automated coffee machines. Checkbin was fast efficient and good.
