Sunset Motel

We had room #7 for 2 nights after Christmas. The room was clean, had no insects of any kind, and we could park right in front of the door. The heater worked, but you had to set the thermostat just right to not be too hot or cold. The hot water took about 4 minutes to reach the sink or shower. (We just learned to start it a little early when using.) The price is the best part. Two nights for what one night cost in other motels in Sedalia. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I deliver freight for a living. One of the most important aspects for us is adequate parking. This establishment was perfect for us. A large enough lot for our hotshot rig. The owner who checked us in was wonderful and very welcoming. The room was perfect. The carpet is a bit dated but the bathroom looked newly renovated with ceramic tiles. The linens were spotless & there was plenty of hot water. We would definitely stay here again!!!!

Travelling through some nasty weather, we were delighted to pull into this small motel. The rooms in the front are right on the road and somewhat noisy. The rooms in the back row of the motel were quiet and had nice little benches out front.||||The price is excellent - so I think this place gets extra point for value. And it is very nicely maintained and very clean. So - things are on the small side, but you can get a good night's sleep here.||||The bed did not have a fancy mattress, but we slept well here. We had a flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. There is no complimentary breakfast.||||We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Here is the proof you should give motels a second look!! Resist the urge to pick a big brand and give a local owner your business. You cannot ask for a better place to stay for the price paid! Rooms were clean and updated. Bedding was so much nicer than the boring commercialized comforters you see everywhere. Great place to stay (just bring your own shampoo and respect the price)
