Hampton Inn Sedalia

Booked a hotel for work and my trip got moved. The hotel would not change my date and would not cancel my reservation. When I called the guy was very rude and unhelpful. Make sure your plans are rock solid before booking here. I don't know how to reply to the owner but it was not through a 3rd party, my friend made the reservation. Your hotel would not let us change or reservation or cancel and get our money back.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Some staff was not very friendly, with the exception of the breakfast attendant and housekeeping. Room was well laid out. Blackout blinds were good as was the shower (water pressure and showerhead). Room could have used another light in the corner opposite the desk. Ice machine on 2nd floor was out of order, and we were told 3rd floor didn't have one. The first floor ice machine ran out the morning we checked out because it was the only operational one. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. We enjoy oatmeal for breakfast at most Hampton Inns, but this Hampton had only instant oatmeal. The eggs were watery and lukewarm. We did enjoy the scones! It was nice there were adequate luggage carts.

The room was very clean; we had a king bed as requested. And it was on the bottom floor so we did not have to climb any steps. It was quiet all night so we had a restful sleep. Check in and out was simple; so overall it was an enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Positive: Very clean, nice layout in the room. Breakfast was good. Negative: The room did have a little bit of a funky smell, but it did seem very clean.

The king room had a great bathroom. Walk in shower was great for short people. The vanity had pull out shelves, plenty of space and a bonus shelf.
