Econo Lodge Truman Inn

Rooms do need some updates but this is a beautiful historic hotel. The breakfast is small but you wont leave with any empty stomach. The hot tub is fantastic and the pool is refreshing. Front Desk is an absolute gem. Dog friendly and is very personable.

The place was filthy. The towels were stained. Half the lights in the room were broken. The chair was filthy and broken. The walls were dirty as well as the bathroom. I killed 3 roaches. The hall carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Out side the rear door looked like a hobo lived there. Not to mention there was no coffee at 6:45 am. Very disgusting property.

The rooms were nice and clean. Loved the laminate floors instead of carpet. Beds were comfortable. Continental breakfast was lacking. And the whole reason we came to stay was to spend time in the hot tub and pool, we called a week ahead of time to check if they were in working order and were told yes. But when we arrived, the pool and hot tub were closed, cold and we were continually told it was open and working or would be ready soon. It never was.

Positive: The shower head and water pressure were great. Negative: When you first walk in the door, the smell of Marijuana was very strong. We continued to smell it the entire way to our room. The carpet was gross looking.The room was very musty smelling and not very clean. The sheets looked old and dirty.

It was old. It was run down. The bathrooms were cleaned but stained with filth if that makes sense. From the moment you walk into the hotel, you can smell the dirt in the carpet. At the time that I stayed there, the power doors at the entrance didn't work so you had to push your way through. It was and all around worst experience I've ever had and I only stayed there one night. I refuse to stay in it longer than that
