Sunset Bay Resort & Suites

We stayed here for a winter get away with my family. The indoor pool was nice! There are 2 small slides and a hot tub. Kids aged 3-14 all loved it. We had a 2 bedroom condo suite which was clean and spacious. Full kitchen has plenty of plates / utensils. Great value for the cost of the stay. My only complaint is the beds felt like sleeping on a board.

Let's face it, there's a ton of options in the dells. I'm not saying you won't enjoy this place, but the room we stayed at for our anniversary was less than ideas. Great water pressure is about the best I can say for the whole resort. When we arrived, there were 4 couch pillows in cars on the bed, about half the size of regular pillows and when any weight is out on them, they deflat and leave your head and neck less than supported. The bed was made with two sheets sandwiching a thick wool blanket which had holes in it. The floor around the jacuzzi might have been rotted out or whomever installed the flooring forgot how to raise the flooring to match the rest of the floor. We've gone a few times over the years and feel the overall maintenance has gone down. The pool area as previously noted by another review was not very clean. The Sauna was down for three of the 4 days we were there and I had to report it twice. The parking lot could use a little more care to hand shovel to remove the ice/snow patches when the cars are gone, it would not take much time to make it safer by shoveling the lot to remove the ice/snow chunks. On the positive side- the location is really amazing and is dog friendly. They did have a really great bonfire area i could see people were using even in the winter. Rooms are dated, but were clean, and the beds were very comfy. It's nice to have a balcony to sit out in good weather or to store your ice/cooler in the winter. Overal

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was nice and cozy. We sat by the fire (wood was provided) on the beach and watched the stars and made smores. The pool/hot tub area was great and we had fun going down the slide and felt like a kid again 🤣. Great location central to everything but far enough off the main drag to be very quiet and peaceful. We saw deer in the yard and took a nice kayak ride which felt nice on a hot October day. Definitely will return.

Dirty room. Some weird gooey ick on the bathroom walls and mirror. Bathroom infested with ants. Mold on bathroom ceiling. No bedding basically one thin blanket like a sheet. mattresses are terrible, probably 20 yrs old... eww. Patios are not cleaned out. Towels are the size of a tea towel. maintenance people give very unfriendly looks. Pool is cloudy and smells of too much chemicals like they are covering up some nasty water so we decided to not get in. Hot tub not hot I dipped my toe in but was cloudy as well so just went back to mold filled outdated overpriced room. Rude front dest and owner Jay. Do not go here. Lots of better resorts around here. Was constantly harassed about a dog barking when it was the people next door. Take the time to read the other reviews of how dirty this place
