Sundial Beach Resort & Spa

This is a nice property overall, but our experience didn’t reflect what we paid for. We booked the highest-priced room with a beach view, expecting a full resort-style experience. Instead, the unit felt much more like an Airbnb apartment located almost two blocks away from the main hotel and amenities. While we technically had access, the distance made it feel disconnected from the hotel itself. For the price we paid (comparable to a five-star hotel), the offerings were quite basic. Breakfast was not included, housekeeping was limited (every three days), and the pool next to our building was under construction, despite being told on the phone that the property was fully renovated. The beach is outstanding. Pickleball wonderful. Resort poor. There were few guests, scant staff, recycled food (exception was Japanese steakhouse which was very good). Our unit was not clean. There was hair in shower drain and dirty floors. Unit was stripped down completely. We’ve stayed here before with greater pleasure and hope management works harder to encourage guests like us to return. The reception staff cannot possibly know the polish and amenities in each condo. So it’s really a crapshoot where they assign you. The units are all privately owned so we can’t understand why the owners aren’t supervising the assignments and cleaning more carefully. If guests like us loose confidence in the quality of the units we will go elsewhere.

Room: Room was light, bright, airy, nicely appointed, and clean. Remotes to TVs partially work. Stayed 4 nights and did not receive room service. Plenty of parking. Quiet.|Resort Amenities: Limited pool seating, chairs reserved with towels and then remained unused. Limited bikes, bikes can be checked out all day to individuals and sit unused, perhaps consider a time limit on bikes to allow all guests an opportunity to use bikes daily. Bike helmets are provided, limited kid carriages/bikes offered. Servers did not came back to close our tabs at the poolside tables or chairs. Must wear non-removable, wide, hard plastic band 24/7, really would be a plus to have a removable band so not wearing resort band to dinner, parties, bed, etc. There were poolside gluten-free options (gluten-free bun

We spent New Year's in Sundial resort K103 and It was a fabulous stay. Building K is the closest building to the all of the great amenities that Sundial offers including the hot tub and heated pool, workout facility, bikes/watercrafts, and bars and restaurants. Our unit had a covered porch which opened up directly to the beach and a fabulous view of the gulf and amazing sunrises. Everything was top notch at Sundial from the check in and throughout our stay. Parking is provided right next to our unit which made packing and unpacking easy and the included bikes were a great way to get around the island. We were too late to sign up but there was a rocking New Year's eve party which looked very fun. We also very much enjoyed our dinner at Shima steakhouse which served up fabulous family
