Studio 6 Ogden, UT – 21st Street

Misleading photos of the main hotel, for the room I booked. Photos showed a standard motel 6 room. I was sent to a different, unbranded (no signage) out-building beside the main hotel. I spoke to the front desk & told him the building did not feel safe for a solo female traveler & he told me that was what I booked & he could not change it. This building is closer to the truck stop & feels secluded. I did not feel safe being put in this unexpected different building/room situation. The first room, the deadbolt would not latch into the catch plate. Told the front desk & he “explained” to me how electronic deadbolts work. I reassured him I was aware & that there was a hardware issue. We walked back to the room & I showed him the (valid) issue. He assigned me the room across the hall. Within 1

Awful checked out after 2 nights of 10 day booking filthy, ants all over kitchen counter day 2 ,bathroom tub faucet broken, cook top does not turn off have to unplug. Freezer filthy, called manager to come in and clean. Sofa filthy. No coffee pot,or toaster. Front Door key pad smashed and door does not latch closed unsecured.

First they checked us into a dirty room. Then they charged a deposit which is fine but then it proceeded to take everything I had in my account which was more then I paid for the room for the time I was there and had to go back to the front desk to be told we would be refunded. Why they took so much no ideas. We didn't get new towels or any house keeping for the trash in the 4 days we were there. And some how with no doors or windows open we kept getting wasps and bees in our room. Definitely don't recommend nor will we be back.

Just notified management I was bit up by bedbugs and he denied having any and hung up on me. The mattress is covered with live as well as dead ones. Absolutely horrible, had to leave and no refund was given. I am so disgusted and have to replace my luggage and treat everything for them now. I even took pictures to the office and they still said nope that not bedbug...I will be suing that's for sure.

It should be noted that the Motel 6 and Studio 6 are operated by the same front desk, however they are in different buildings. The photos online show Studio 6 which seems to be very clean and nice and new. The Motel 6 which is where you can find the front desk is absolutely filthy and disgusting. Roaches, urine and blood stained mattresses, dirty floors, red liquid in freezer, pet hair everywhere, smelled of cigarettes and mildew, large gap under front door allowing cigarette smoke from outside into the room, scorched/burned microwave with rust, previous guests hair on towel. This was an all-around disgusting and horrible experience. When I brought all of these issues to the front desk I was compensated 20% of my $83.00 room.
