Best Western Plus High Country Inn

Out check-in and check-out were easy and very welcoming and we were severed by great attendance with great costumer service. Even in calling the day of our stay our attendant in helped me book our stay while on the road and she was fabulous. Our room was a bit small and we had carpet rather than wood floors as shown in some of the hotel photos. The one thing I wish they could fix was make the bathroom light switch inside the bathroom. When someone had to get up in the night and turn on the bathroom light outside by the sink and minor everyone else gets woken up with the bright light. The exterior grounds of the hotel were amazing with a pathway around Kio ponds, a waterfall and a pet play area. We arrived after dark but still enjoyed our evening stroll. I love the location and little extras here. The dog park was great for my pup to hang out with other dogs as we traveled. The kids enjoyed the pool although I thought it was to cold. The path behind this location makes this stop one of a kind and a great hit. Breakfast was average. The only issue is the walls being to thin. I am usually a sound sleeper but you here everything every neighbor is doing. 2am I could hear neighbors talking (it woke me). Doors opening and closing, people showering. You really hear it all. Lol.

Positive: Veiw was nice. The room was clean Negative: The front desk lady was less than welcoming. She was cold and rude. She acted anode we were there. Put us in a room middle of the stairs on the secode floor. (We are old) The bathroom is tiny!

Well, we had a tiny pieces of shattered glass on the bathroom floor from previous guests I assume. How I found it out- I cut my feet. Called service to clean it up , the lady came with a broom 😵‍💫 the only thing that could help was vacuum and washing the floor so these tiny particles would go away. She definitely picked some with her broom but mostly just swept it out of the bathroom on the floor near sink 🤣well thank you very much. It was already too late and the need to wake up early stopped me from being more persistent. Next morning my kid needed a rest between super early game and next one , it was sooooo loud. I get it guests might be loud , but cleaning personnel blasting their music while dragging their cart 😵‍💫😵‍💫 guys it’s too much , and we had a sign do not disturb which I guess

The room was nice. The beds are comfortable (a must for me). Typical breakfast, nothing special. Unfortunately the maintenance man got confused on which heater to turn up on the hot tub verses the pool. Pool was warmer than the hot tub. Loved the grounds!!! After a long drive it was nice to walk around. The restaurant "Jeremiahs" is just across the parking lot and dinner was great. If you towing a trailer or driving a bus, lots of parking available.
