Stay Lodge of Decatur

The room itself was clean, but very basic. It was very easy to get fresh towels and things like that and the housekeepers were very good at making sure the rooms were spotless for new guests. However they did have cockroaches. On top of this the owner of the hotel which is an older white woman is one of the rudest human beings I have met in my life. Not only was she rude to me personally after being there for one day but also the man who was staying in the room right next to me. The man told her his mother had just passed away and instead of showing any kind of sympathy she spoke to this man as if he was a child and made the remark that had nothing to do with her instead of saying “im sorry for your loss however what you’re doing is against our policy”. Maintenance walks the property up next to the doors starting at 8am with a leaf blower. If your used to sleeping past that or work a 2nd or 3rd shift best be prepared. Other than that it was fine. Often the powerful odor of Marijuana floating through the building but not the worst thing in the world I guess.

I’ve stayed here before in the past and didn't have the best experience. I must say, things have improved. Guest service feels like guest services. They have removed the carpets and put in flooring. Painted and refurbished the room that I’m in. No cigarette smells inside the room. I'm impressed. Cant beat it for the price. 👍

I liked it; place for long term and short..... Customer service is great... The maintenance guy is wonderful and hard working. I enjoyed my time there with my son and boyfriend due to transition. I would refer a friend but don't have many in Alabama. I think the prices can be cheaper but other than that is great. I lived there for a min... Never saw commotions... Cameras everywhere so your car and you poverty I surveillance at all times.

My partner and I lived her for 2 years and I wish we had stayed at a different hotel from the beginning..it is the cheapest in Decatur but I cannot even begin to describe the amount of horrible things that happened to us while we stayed here. We eventually stayed at Inntown suites. The staff there are AMAZING and so kind. They have helped us so many times when we had any issues. They have rooms that are remodeled, clean, and nice. When the AC broke they replaced the entire thing. My partner and I finally got into an apartment after staying there for a few months. I met some very nice people there and they have a pool they converted to saltwater, and a hangout and picnic area. My mental health was saved by Inntown and I'm so thankful for them.
