Spark by Hilton Decatur

Stayed at Spark by Hilton Decatur and this stay was even better than the previous one. The hotel feels very new, clean, and well maintained. The room had everything I needed — fridge, microwave, USB-C charging ports, and a comfortable sofa where I could just sit, eat, and watch my iPad after a long day. The overall setup is simple but very practical, especially for travelers who stay on the road often like me. The room was spotless, fresh, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind and recharge. Small details like modern outlets and functional layout really make a difference. Highly satisfied and would definitely stay again.

This is NOT a Hampton Inn. It is an old Hampton Inn switched to a Hilton Spark. The free breakfast is literally cereal and muffins. The room was clean and smelled clean. The bed was comfortable. The pillows are too soft. The toilet ran constantly. Definitely should have been priced like a Quality Inn, not a Hampton Inn.

Positive: "" Negative: Was not aware it was being remodeled.. Plastic hanging everywhere. Plastic was on top of carpet going down the halls. My friend slipped in water that was on top of the plastic and fell.. the only thing the hotel did was lay a towel over it.

This is Hiltons newest addition, just not quite up to Hiltons normal experiences. The room itself was not bad. Very comfortable bed. Front desk staff were great. My only 2 complaints were that their were no hairdryers available in the room, and the TV volume wouldn't go up above a 7. (Which is a mere whisper at best) The front desk told me that the TVs have been an issue that they were already aware of. It would also be nice if the front desk staff acknowledged Hiltons Honors members and gave the bottled water and/or had it already in the room like they used to do. The area seemed safe and there were lots of dining options around the hotel.

This was our 4th stay at this location. The first room we were sent to was dirty and not cleaned. Phones did not work, so back down to the lobby we went. Second room seemed ok. We turned the air conditioner off as it was cold. About an hour later, there were lady bugs all over the room. Climbing on the walls, on the beds and even in the toilet. We were extremely disappointed that warm breakfast was discontinued. We travel to this area twice a year and will be looking for a new hotel to stay.
