Residence Inn by Marriott Decatur

Great staff, very attentive. They greet you at every turn and go out of their way to help. Pool is nice and place is very clean. Surprisingly quiet, even though I stayed there 3 nights not once did I hear any of the usual... things you would expect from a hotel. The gym was nice too, just a really clean quiet hotel.

Don't use the sofa sleeper. Mattress was non existent. Slept on basically bars. The rest of the room was fine and clean.

This is my "GO TO" place when visiting Alabama. First off the staff is unbelievably polite and helpful. You can tell they love being there!! I have stayed 3 different times now with them and have never gotten the same layout for a 1 bedroom suite yet. The full kitchen is wonderful, just bring your food. Definitely a place for an extended stay. The rooms are well appointed and the beds will give you an excellent nights rest. Very clean!!! Breakfast will be sure to delight any appetite or diet. Coffee 24/7 is also nice. The outside grounds are very well kept and plenty of lighting in the parking lot at night. Very safe and secure area with a steakhouse right across the street!! The cleanliness of this hotel is some of the best I've seen, which is a reflection of the staff caring about their job performance. From the front desk staff, to the breakfast ladies, to the maid staff, I was impressed. Convenient location to any type of food you desire. Will definitely stay at this property again. Beds are comfy too!

It was perfect except for the way they explained the free breakfast in the morning. We were led to believe that the breakfast was free cuz they gave us a card. After ordering breakfast and it being brought to us we found out that we owed an additional $24. The cards were $10 off per meal .
