Stay Express Inn Chattanooga, TN

I don’t understand some of the low ratings. This is great for a two star hotel. Beds are extremely comfy, good coffee—community coffee brand. Everyone on staff is great, outside of the guy on third shift. He’s basically as rude as he can get away with to and being fired and he will intentionally misdirect about third party bookings. (Hope the owner sees this). He’s the only reason I took a a star off this rating. The few hiccups with my room were corrected with a can do, will do, attitude by other staff. Literally entire staff outside of this guy is great.

Positive: The front desk staff was understanding and polite. Everything else was dismal. Negative: I did not like the filthy chairs that were unable to be set in due to the filth. I did not like all the burn marks on the end tables and the sink. I did not like what appeared to be blood sprayed on the wall there were quite a few other things

The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional!!!!! He was very polite, nice and extremely helpful getting me checked in!!!! When I told him that I had trouble writing due to my disability ability he said don’t worry about it I will help you. Then when it was time to sign he placed the paper on the counter and without being asked held it in place for me to sign!!!! The room was a decent size. The beds were semi comfortable. The shower was huge so there was plenty of room for more than one person. The toilet seat was the wrong one for the toilet. So there was a big gap at the front between the toilet rim and the seat. We didn’t like the shade over the window. We tried unsuccessfully to get it into a position that you could not see into the room. For this place to be newly renovated it need

Nice for the price. I wish there would have been a coffee maker in the room but the coffee in the lobby was good. The room was not so bad. The people in the lobby were nice. I didn't have housekeeping so I can't comment on that. The location was okay. We went to the zoo and the aquarium and it was about a 10 mi n ute drive. Plenty of restaurants near. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed my time except for the roaches that I found in this room. I should have done more research on this place before hand but I didn’t. The only thing good about this room is the bed are comfortable. I’m in the works of getting a refund due to the disgusting bugs but they have a no refund policy. To me when it comes to this there should be a high exception for a refund. Would I come here again or recommend this place to someone …absolutely not! Unless you don’t care about roaches and don’t care if one may crawl on you at night. I haven’t had it happen but I’m sure it could happen. I will not be back here again.
