Star Motel

This was one of the nastiest motels I have ever stayed in. First of all, the painted white brick walls made me feel like I was in a jail cell. Second, there was one thin blanket and no sheet and the blanket had holes burned into it and this was a non-smoking room! Third, there was what looked like a blood stain on the toilet seat. Fourth, there was no shampoo, conditioner, or lotion provided and the shower was tiny and had nowhere to put soap or shampoo anyway. Lastly, the sink was very low and had no counter space to put anything. After one night here, I went online and booked a Motel 6, which I should have done to begin with. This is not a place you will want to hang out, but I am reviewing it based on the scale of it being a place to sleep and move on. The building is old and in a slightly sketchy location, however I can tell the owners are trying. New interior with some good quality choices. Wood floors, and clean. Parking was available. +1 star for the hosts being really really nice. -1 star for the non-smoking room smelling like old smoke and cleaning chemicals.

I like the star motel, it's setting in the industrial part of town but it's really peaceful and quiet at night. There are some homeless people in the area and RVs but they are very friendly and keep to themselves. I asked one for directions and they were very helpful and even offered me a cigarette. The room was very clean and I would suggest this place to anyone that just to escape from home for a little bit of peace and quiet. Thanks star motel for having me.

Stayed here recently. It's an older place, and at first I was less than impressed with the location, but it was close to everything I needed to be at. The price was very reasonable, and the manager was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. I wouldn't come here if you're planning on spending a lot of time in your room, since the accommodations are a little small, and doesn't have all the luxuries of large hotel chains like in-room movies and stuff ... just basic cable ... but it's good if you just need a place to crash for a few days while you're in the area. My room had a fridge and a stove, too.

I had a good experience with the owners, I was late getting back to my room so by the time I arrived the staff had already bagged up my things, when I couldn't find a certain item that was worth a lot of money the manager stayed calm and helped me find it, she never once made me feel like I wasn't worth her time. My belongings were found eventually, I'm just very thankful that there are still people in this world that are honest.
