Star Motel In Macomb

This was a really nice and affordable motel, clean and recently remodeled, Microwave, Refrigerator, new HVAC and bathroom, comfortable beds and nice flat screen TVs with DirectTV. You can't beat the price at 59.00 a night which is less than half of any surrounding motel or hotel in Macomb Illinois, there is a 50 dollar deposit which is returned on checkout, this was a life saver on a 19 degree night with 40 mph winds when I had transmission issues on my way back home for the weekend. The staff were professional and welcoming to the motel and provided everything we needed.

I stayed one night while on the road. The motel was an older property, basic, but spotlessly clean and in very good condition. The bed was excellent, everything in the room worked properly. It was a cold night and the room heater easily kept up with the load. The desk clerk was particularly helpful, courteous, and professional in his work. If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay there.

My room smelled like mold it was a downstairs room no ice no coffee no breakfast the beds were comfortable the bathrooms had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and rust on the shower curtain rods the man wasn't nice to me he actually scared me I'm now currently chilling at a hotel at least I will get breakfast and without the mold smell

Great hotel for the price. I stayed Sunday through Monday for $55 a night after tax. Staff was great, room was clean. Room had a mini fridge, decent sized TV and wifi. Outlets could have been more conveniently located. Towels were terribly thin. Bed was comfy, pillows excellent. I will stay here again if in town. Compared to the other prices of the hotels on this block, you'd be throwing away money if you stayed elsewhere. As other's have mentioned, it might look like a sketchy motel from the road, but it's surprisingly nice inside.

My brother and myself stayed here for four nights while moving our grandmother. The owner was very nice and friendly, rooms were very clean, and cleaned daily while we were gone. The only down side was parking in the front of the building and having a curb the whole length of the front instead of having a slanted curb to be able to just pull into a spot. front parking is tight. other wise the stay was good.
