I cannot believe some of the negative recommendations this hotel has received from other reviewers. My family (wife and two young kids under 7) stayed here for 5 nights recently and we can only have complimentary words to say about it.||We arrived at 10pm and were warmly welcomed and quickly checked in. Our room was fine. Nice and clean with plenty of storage space. After a good sleep on comfy beds we were up early next morning to explore.||The hotel is ideally situated. Close to the South Ferry and the Downtown C subways. Time Square is just a few minutes walk, and there are lots of good restaurants like Don Antonio, Gallaghers Steakhouse and Ellen's Star Diner only a short distance away.||I've seen people write that there is a smell of weed at the hotel? That's very unfair because from w

Cristaly at the desk was so so lovely! So courteous and gracious with her time when I was asking for tips for what to get up to for the day definitely deserves a raise! Hotel was also super central which was great and all the staff were so helpful during the heat in giving us free water bottles whenever needed. Only docked a point for small things like water pressure for the shower but likely just due to it being an old building. Rooms were very tidy and the bed was extremely comfortable which was needed after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommend

First time in NYC - and we were disappointed with this hotel. Partner booked a surprise trip for us both to NYC and we were super excited as you can imagine. We arrived after such a long flight and a delay at the airport to our hotel, which made us tired and wanting some rest. Receptionist was friendly so no issues there. We were assigned our room and we were both looking forward to having a look at what we had in store as the photos looked lovely. DISAPPOINTED ISNT THE WORD. Our room was tiny, with a small double bed and the tiniest bathroom ever, even the bath was so low on the floor it was like a child’s bath and when filled up it would just cover you legs!! The photos were not the same as the rooms and it was so misleading. The room look so much bigger and such different styles on the

Val at the front desk was absolutely amazing, as well as the concierge who was also very helpful. My rating comes from the poor level of room service. We arrived on Friday. On Sunday I attended the front desk to advise we really needed clean towels. The lady working at the front desk was most unhelpful and proceeded to advise that they service the room every 3 days and it wasn't due until Monday. I advised that our wet towels were in a pile on the floor of our room and needed to be changed. We went out for the day and upon our return staff had entered our room, left clean towels and also left a pile of wet dirty towels sitting on the floor of our room. Location is great, however would probably not return or recommend.

Giving the hotel two stars because of central location and the wonderful service from the staff like Dhalia and Sean. Everything else leaves much to be desired. The “standard double room” (C11) I got was tiny, i couldn’t open the door if my standard medium sized (check in) suitcase was open. Also, the toilet door couldn’t close fully and there was a huge crack in the mirror. Worst still, when I arrived on Tuesday night, I found a cup of beer under my bed (with a drop of beer left!!) and 2 almonds right by the bedside. The only saving grace was that the staff were quick to clean the room the next day, after I had informed them of this. Overall, I don’t think the room was worth it. I had also stayed at a hostel just 7 streets away in this trip. Despite having to share a room and bathroom,
