SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Rancho Bernardo/Scripps Poway

I understand all hotels get individual experience from their guests but at best, 3 stars for me. I’m a night shift nurse at a local hospital here in San Diego. Because my house was undergoing some construction on the Sunday I elected to stay here, I wanted to forgo the noise and stay at a day hotel to sleep during my weekend of working at the hospital overnight. Check in listed was 10am. Got there around 9:55am, the nice gal said the room wasn’t available and room didn’t become available to almost 10:30. No big deal. Room was made and accommodating for what I needed once I got it. However where my problem lies is the incompetence during checking out. I personally handed my room key to the guy at the front desk at 5:50pm (check out time 6pm) and told him my room number, my name and he tol

The hotel is conveniently located just off the 15 freeway, making it easy to access. I recommend requesting a room away from the freeway for a quieter stay. It’s directly across from a Chili’s and Wendy’s, which is perfect for grabbing a quick and meal. The hotel itself is newer, clean, and modern, with nicely sized rooms and a very comfortable bed. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and Ian truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. His outstanding service made a great experience even better.

Really outdated hotel that seems to have grown organically for the last couple of decades. I am surprised no one has mentioned this - all rooms have this door between each other. There is absolutely no sound isolation. You can hear your neighbor sneeze! If you get kids in the adjacent room , you might as well go sleep in the car. |There was mold in the tub. Water in the sink by the bathroom was cold. The plumbing gurgles and sounds like it might explode. This hotel needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt.|Minor advantages - there’s a Chilis, a Bar and Grill and Wendy’s walking distance.

First impression was meh. I had to wait at check-in and stood there unacknowledged while the staff was switching (I think). No big deal; once someone helped me, everything went smoothly. The room was also meh: not the best, not the worst. I avoided using the complimentary waters by the coffee machine. BOTH bottles were full but had a broken seal, gross. The real shocking and nauseating issue we encountered was when it came time to use the bathtub to bathe my young children. The tub was dirty, to put it lightly. I had to scrub it myself with a few Clorox wipes I happen to pack. The tub was also not draining properly. I had to pull out a huge wad of hair from previous guests. I have never felt sicker at the sight of a hotel room bathtub. This would have been caught if it had been cleaned p
