SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista South

Stayed for a Universal High School band trip. The workers were all very nice and accommodating to the 116 of us. Plenty of parking for 3 busses. Breakfast was good, repetitive but still great for free, coffee was excellent! Beds were comfortable, the ac in our room was good, shower had good pressure. Only issue was that when we had the room cleaned all of the towels were removed and none were left, had to get some from the front desk. Super convenient location to the Universal parks and Disney (we didn't go there this trip). Would definitely stay again!

The hotel staff were nice and the breakfast was fine. Those are the nice things that I can say. The hotel has motel vibes. The biggest issue was the condition of the rooms. The room was just gross. It was so moist and smelled like mildew. The room had an ant infestation, where at one point an ant walked across my book, onto my hand and down my arm. The whole family dreaded spending any time in the room. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off in the room. Also, the beds were really small.

Positive: "" Negative: The furniture and carpets are worn down making the hotel look old. The carpet in the room was dirty and humid and the towels were stained. The pool was also worn down and when asking for bedding for the pull out sofa bed, they didn't have comforters.

The only positive is the location—it’s close to Disney World. The “courtesy shuttle” schedule is not practical at all: 9:30 AM to Magic Kingdom or 11:30 AM to Hollywood Studios, and the bus also stops at other hotels which can add close to an hour before you even reach the park. You lose a huge portion of your park day. The room had a persistent moldy smell (seems common based on other reviews), and the dehumidifier in the room didn’t help. The condition of the room was unacceptable for a Marriott brand—visible wear and stains, and even the ceiling had damage/flaking, and a piece of the ceiling had fallen (thankfully no one was sitting on the sofa below, which also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time). At check-in, we were told there were two complimentary bottles of water,

We arrived pretty late at night and were greeted by Nadia at the front desk. Even at that hour, she was full of energy and had such a warm, genuine smile. You can tell she truly cares about the guests she’s helping. We had a small issue with our first room, and she handled it quickly and smoothly without any hassle. She stayed positive and made the whole process easy for us. Nadia was professional, kind, and just genuinely pleasant to interact with. She made a great first impression, and we really appreciated her help!
