SpringHill Suites by Marriott Cincinnati North/Forest Park

The good: Hotel is very clean. Staff very friendly. Beds comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. The bad: Very dim lighting in the room. No towel bars in the bathroom. One small drawer under the TV (no chest of drawers or dresser). TV across from bed, not from couch. One of the two elevators out of service at least four days. These are enough reasons for me not to stay here again.

This hotel is conveniently located near a major freeway, with a Cracker Barrel restaurant just behind it, an easy walk to dinner. Breakfast: lots of offerings with eggs and a meat daily as well as another breakfast dish (sausage croissants one day, jalapeno souffle another, sausage biscuits another). Also a waffle station, and the usual fruits, yogurt cereal. Rooms: My room was quite cramped with so much furniture squeezed in that it was difficult to walk around without banging into something. Little drawer space for clothing storage if you are staying a few days. The sliding barn door to the bathroom was very heavy, difficult for a weaker/older person to slide. Refrigerator did not work at all and was not repaired while we were there. It also seemed to be leaking onto the carpeted floo

Mediocre! Reservation software doesn't talk to the front desk software so whatever you request or already have in your Marriott Rewards profile gets lost and you get hosed. Room stank - something like a mixture of mold and cat piss. Separately those are unappealing but when combined it made me really glad we had only booked one night. Running the HVAC actually made the smell worse. Breakfast was mediocre at best and arranged in such a way that everyone is perpetually climbing over everyone else to get what they want. Sketchy is probably the best description of the lobby/parking lot scene. Not coming back!

Positive: The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Negative: It smelled of weed slightly yet on check out day it was so bad I was gagging. The door to the bathroom let's all the light in, so not great if you having sleeping children in the room and you need to use it. The curtains also let a lot of light in.

Excellent! Faith met our group and stayed with us throughout our stay to service our needs. She’s lovely! Annette took care of the breakfast bar like a pro. Rooms were nice. Thanks to all.
