SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ardmore

When I chose to stay at a Marriott I felt comforted because the name brings a reputation of quality; however quality is far from what this “hotel” is. Upon pulling up I felt the outside looked shabby, but I thought it was acceptable being its winter. When I stay in a hotel I ALWAYS check the bed for bugs. The mattress was absolutely disgusting and stained. There was dirt on the floor and the bathtub had missing enamel, rust stains and the grout looked gross. I immediately asked for a refund and stayed elsewhere.

We were pleased with our room and the facility. Appears clean & well cared for. So why the 3 star rating? Because the next morning as I sat on the opposite side of the bed I slept in, I noticed how sandy it felt. First ewwww. Second ewwww: washcloth up on shower head from previous guests. Ok, now I’m wondering if this room was really cleaned. Third ewwww: big old long black hair on shower tile about halfway up. UGH. (my hair is a grayish light brown). My husband noticed crumbs on desk chair. ||The shower floor was slick. I put a hand towel down to prevent slips. Breakfast area quite nice with good choices.

Positive: Check in and check out was easy Negative: The person who was in charge of the breakfast has to many responsibilities. She not only cooks the meal she cleans and mops the area including mopping the entrance to the hotel and all exits. I feel the surrounding area outside of the restaurant.

This is in a great location. The staff were all polite. The rooms were decent. Nothing extraordinary but certainly nothing to be unhappy about. It was an average stay. The location is right off the highway and close to lots of businesses.

We stayed at this hotel during Thanksgiving 2025. Our room was very dirty (dead bugs, gravel, trash on the floor). I went to the front desk to get a vacuum upon our arrival and cleaned the room myself because the floors were so dirty. The windows had also not be cleaned. They were full on hand prints and marks which made question the cleanliness of the entire room. Anytime we were in the lobby area the front desk workers were on their phones and we felt we were inconveniencing them when we had to approach the desk for any reason. The pool is quite small and the room was chilly for an indoor pool. Overall a very disappointing stay.
