It was good except we found a dead fawn on the table that was left on top of one of the picnic tables. We had to inform the camp host and im sure once removed no sanitation was performed to clean away anything left behind. 1st night was great. We had a nosey deer who was kinda creepy and lingered around often.
This campsite just off the road had a stunning river view that was an absolute gem! It was incredibly quiet, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. The facilities were well-maintained. The serene atmosphere, combined with the calming sound of the river, made it the perfect spot to unwind. A must-visit for anyone seeking a relaxing and scenic camping experience!
Awesome little spot. Rolled in around 8pm mid Dec and there was only one other camper there. Woke up to a beautiful view of the river. Lots of firewood around. New dock to launch your boat. Spots were clean. The landscape reminded me of the north of Scotland. A sign said there was no cost to camp because the sites were not being maintained in the winter. Definitely recommend this place.
I would have rated this campground higher if not for the horrible road noise, the ice-cold water in the shower that took forever to heat up, the broken shower head, and the massive pot-holes in the blacktopped road. I stayed three nights which allowed me to walk the campground and meet the ranger in charge. I informed her of the broken showerhead. It’s too bad that I-84 is so close. It feels more like a rest stop than a campground.
Came during March (still cold) but driving through. This is off the beaten track (not far, kind of small road). Beautiful place, free blm, with outhouses. Perfect for camping.
