Farewell Bend Campground

We enjoyed our time. Stayed Aug 23-24. Bugs were not as much of a problem as previous reviews indicated. Showers didn’t get very warm but the view was nice. Water levels very low, would not have been able to launch our boat.

It was pretty but the mosquitoes and flies were NUTS. I’ve never seen anything like it. And then the wind picked up at night until the sun came up. In a tent meant very very poor sleep. Also, the road near by had trucks all hours. We couldn’t even go down to the riverbank to enjoy the view. The bugs were too much! The showers wreak or pee and were frigid cold. I couldn’t leave there fast enough.

Beautiful campsites that's next to the river, pet friendly, flushable toilets, and free showers... but God damn, the mosquito problem is out of hand! They really need to do some type of pest control or at least not have the rainbirds on all the time.. We're on our 4th can of deep off bug spray and they're still going strong. Even the bunnies are running around with ticks. There's also hornets.

We have stayed here a few times and have been happy with it for the most part. The rangers have always been really nice and helpful.

If you like MOSQUITOES even with deet sprayed on head to toe, have a great time.. Organites can do better. It could be a real nice rv park...
