Spear-O-Wigwam

This is such a special place in the mountains! We rented out the property for a weekend wedding and have no regrets. The property itself is filled with history and beautiful views! All the cabins are cozy, comfortable, and perfect for a remote getaway. Honestly, the best part of Spear-O for us was the staff! Seth, Lexi, Pat, Mike and Penny were incredible. They went above and beyond to make sure our ENTIRE party was happy and comfortable throughout our stay. Seth was organized and patient with making arrangements for many months prior to our wedding so we highly recommend this property for anyone looking to host an event (or even just a simple small getaway). Spear o Wigwam is a throw back ranch from the 1920's that is really a gem which should be protected. Log cabin bunkhouses, outstanding staff, great horse rides, amazing food, what else could you want. Spear o is a hidden gem and I hope it's around for years because I plan on being there every summer. Thank you to the staff: Seth, Lexi, Seminole, Mike, and Patrick for yet again exceeding my expectations and for being great people. Tip, when you come back from a 1/2 day or full day ride, jump into the Peraita creek for a freezing cold plunge. Your sore muscles will thank you.

We stopped in Little Giggling Creek II, which was just by a lovely creek, not far from the main dining and office. They served delicious food for breakfast and dinner at a large dining table- which was lovely. There was a roaring fire and helpful reception, all very relaxed. It’s a good drive from Sheridan down a bumpy road, with nature and beauty all around- we saw Moose! We had the E Bikes ($30pp), which was a lovely way to see the area, though they also had boats and horses. Would recommend it highly as there is so much to do and so many types of accommodation there!

Brought my twins for a graduation present and we had the best time. Trail-riding with Seminole, fly-fishing with Seth and plenty of relaxing. Sunset canoe paddles on the reservoir and wildlife watching right in camp. The food was great and chef made sure my vegetarians were as well fed as everyone else! Highly recommended by me for unplugging and having an amazing family experience in a stunning location. We all loved it!!

What a wonderful place to visit! My wife and I are already talking about our next trip to Spear O. Staff was wonderful Cabin was great and right next to the stream.
