Comfort Inn & Suites Sheridan

We had a very pleasant stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Sheridan and overall it was a great experience, especially for a family vacation. From the time we arrived, the staff was welcoming, polite, and very professional. Check-in was quick and smooth, which made things easy after a long drive. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Everything was well organized, and the bedding was very cozy, allowing us to get a good night’s sleep. The room felt quiet and relaxing, which is something we really appreciated while traveling with family. Housekeeping clearly does a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout the hotel. The hotel is nice over all. We did have problems with the first two rooms. When we checked in the first room had missing light bulbs. The second room had a heater that did not work for the first 20 minutes. The room temperature was 56 degrees. The heater had no directions. The third room had all of its light bulbs and a heater that worked immediately. This was the first time we have had any problems at this hotel.

would not stay here again. After a long day of travel, we arrived late, couldn't find a restaurant open at 9, not the hotel's fault, just traveler beware. Only when we were checkin out the next day did we see the multitude of bugs in the elevator hallway, along with a torn and stained curtain on the wall. May not sound bad, wish I had a photo but the stain was a couple of inches big, above the torn hem that hung down 4-5 inches. Noticeable. Also, the vanity in our room hadn't been dusted in months. Not a big thing as life goes, but it's all about the attention to detail that your customers notice.

Stayed one night and everything looked pretty normal, decent bed, got a solid sleep.. until I woke up with two little “gifts” that screamed bed bugs. I’m no rookie; had a full-blown infestation in 2012 and the allergic reaction is unmistakable: big, angry, swollen welts that itch like crazy and stick around way too long. One bite decided my right thumb needed to cosplay as a sausage link (still can’t bend it properly, thanks for the souvenir), and the other picked the back of my thigh for maximum awkwardness. Called the front desk, because of course I did. Got the classic hotel script: “Bed bugs? Here? Never. Must’ve been… something else. Totally not us.” Shocking plot twist, I know. It's a short easy exit off 90. It's on a windswept hill and access in and out is both easy and somewhat controlled by the design of the driveway and parking lot. While moderately busy, it doesnt suffer from the parking lot clutter you get at other hotels. You'll have to make the quick drive into Sheridan if you want a meal other than breakfast, which is offered in wide variety. There's a seasonal problem with box elder bugs. (Early Oct.) The same problem affects the entire Sheridan area. There's a notice on the check in counter about it. Notify staff and they'll come vacuum them up for you. Still, nice quiet place for an overnight on a long trip and you get treated well.
