Spark by Hilton Wytheville Holston Rd I 81

We drove13 hours from Maine. At 11pm decided to get off I81. Found this great place. Convenient, clean, comfy! Beds and pillows soft, clean and perfect. Even better Ashley at the front desk was kind, welcoming, and thoughtful with waters for us. Everything was an easy. The view in the morning perfect and gas station and entrance to I81 down the hill. I don’t know how anyone could leave a negative review.

Positive: "" Negative: I thought it was a new hotel, but it was an old hotel that had been remodeled. The layout was strange and the elevator was not close to the office / eating area. The breakfast was not up to par with other hotels.

True to form- they were Clean, Fresh and Vibrant indeed. Wonderful breakfast options, I greatly enjoyed the yogurt machine. Our room on the second floor faced the courtyard / dog park which was quiet on a Thursday night. The price per night was about $30 less than the next cheapest option, with the majority of name brand properties in the area priced at $100+ / night. Despite being an "economy" brand, this Spark property hits well above its price point. Full integration with the Hilton Honors app allowed for a seamless check in without a visit to the desk. I was able to use the app to choose my room and the digital key functioned as designed, which I greatly appreciated.

Clean and modern hotel rooms. All rooms are on the ground floor. Lobby has a small convenience store for snacks and incidentals. Breakfast was basic - cereal, bagels, muffins, apples, oatmeal, coffee and juice, hard boiled eggs and yogurt with toppings. Our room was pretty and close to an exit making it easy to take our dogs out to do their business. Bed very soft and comfortable. Had frig and microwave. Only improvement is to change the heavy room and bathroom doors that slam shut very loud. Would definitely stay here again.

An adorable and charming place to stay with a nice view of the town. It is clean, tastefully updated, and has a cute dog park in the courtyard that my dog loved. There was also a good spread for an economy breakfast! I appreciated the oat milk option for us non-dairy folks. You can tell the place is older and has been renovated, so don’t go in expecting a new Hilton Garden Inn, that’s not what this is. Spark is an economy plus brand. However, Spark still delivers a high standard - comfy beds, nice updates, and clean. If you want a good experience on a budget, this is your place!
