Spark by Hilton Victoria

This is a renovated (in 2025) Days Inn, bought by the Hilton brand. Everything is like new, so the cleanliness is great as is the condition of everything. Well, most everything. Some fixtures are still from the old Days Inn as are some doors and hardware. No coffee machines in the room is a downer and the breakfast was gone by the time we got there at 8:45am. I believe it started at 6am so I guess if you don’t get there early in the posted breakfast meal time, (6am-10am I think), you will not get hot food. The front desk and staff were polite and professional. We were there for a funeral and when we asked the front desk as we left for the day for more bath towels, the gentleman said they will be in the room when we return. They were not. All in all, a good value.

This is an old Days Inn that had seen better days. Hilton bought it and totally redid it. New paint, new carpet, new decor, new furniture, and more. I was 100% shocked when we checked in and got to our rooms (2 2 queen rooms; 2 adults, 2 teens, a tween, and a school age kid). This was an unexpected stay on a holiday so the price was 😳 hard to pass up. The only thing that could make it better would be a pool.

What sets this hotel apart is consistent quality across all aspects from cleanliness to hospitality to convenience. The family-friendly atmosphere and reasonable pricing create value that's hard to find elsewhere in Victoria's competitive hotel market currently

The hotel was recently remodeled so that was a plus. I like the bright colors (ie..the paint, wallpaper, furniture). I did have a problem with the A/C but it was taken care of right away. They do have breakfast but I didn't go. Beds were comfortable. But keep in mind that there isn't a coffee maker in the room & the ice machine is only on the 1st floor. One big plus that I haven't seen in any other hotel was the filtered water dispenser (in the lobby). I can't remember the name of it but it's the best tasting water I've ever had......and I have a water filtration system for my house. You can get a cup or you can fill a bottle. I'm sure many workers like that feature. The front desk people & the maintenance guy were really nice. It is a little hard to find but it is worth it if you don't w
