Spark by Hilton St. Robert Fort Leonard Wood

A recently refreshed property added to the Spark by Hilton brand. We needed a room reservation late in the day for a very late arrival and they had a room. Perfectly clean (as you might expect). Late night staffer was great and got us checked in quickly. Beds were comfortable. Refrigerator in room and beverage service in the lobby. Breakfast was as expected for Hilton’s newer budget brand - a bagel and cereal bar with yogurt and oatmeal packets. Good value and we were pleased. For comparison, we usually stay in Hampton properties and were happy.

So this location just opened a week or 2 ago so everything is nice and fresh and clean! Its our 1st time staying at Spark (newest budget hotel from Hilton hotel brand) as we normally stay at Hampton. We figured as a new location it wouldn't disappoint for cleanliness and this turned out to be true! We just checked out this morning and would stay here again. Regarding breakfast: Fortunately it's more than just a bagel bar. We had vanilla yogurt but prefer the fruit ones, had some cereal, a bagel, cupcake, tea and an apple plus a banana. Its certainly obvious its the base hotel from Hilton brand with no frills (meaning no pool or fitness room) and very minimalist room but that was okay with us as we just needed a night to sleep before continuing on our journey. Being a brand new Spark by Hilton the room is crazy clean- YAY! Beds super comfy gave us a quiet good night sleep. Small room but it worked. Since there are no actual photos outside from the website I'm including them here on the review (I like actual photos to make it easier to find for a 1st stay). Breakfast was just okay but nothing special. Fortunately it's more than just a bagel bar. We had vanilla yogurt but prefer the fruit ones, had some cereal, a bagel, cupcake, tea and an apple plus a banana. I'm not sure I'd say this was a fantastic value but for the area it was acceptable (we paid $121 plus tax for a Monday night checking out 10/28/25). Nice place for the price. Good condition! Smaller breakfast than most Hilton’s but still good choices. Diner and Cracker Barrel right across the street. Starbucks nearby and Uranus tourist site a few minutes away on Rt 66. Guy was very nice, trying to help us get the football game on the tv. Would definitely stay again.

My first time at a Spark hotel. The building (a former Red Roof Inn) was nicely remodeled, but I saw a few rough spots in my room and in the hallways. Importantly, it was very clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Modern conveniences included USB-C charging ports and a Qi wireless charging pad on the desk. The cost-saving features of Spark (vs. Hampton) are a bit frustrating, especially the lack of a microwave in the room (there's only one shared microwave in the lobby) and the relatively sparse breakfast selection (no eggs other than prepackaged hard-boiled eggs, which are not good). If you want a budget stay at a Hilton property, Spark seems pretty good. For a comparable rate, I have a slight preference for IHG's new Garner hotels (another "conversion brand"), which offer hot break
