Comfort Inn St. Robert/Fort Leonard Wood

This is the 3rd hotel we have stayed at in the area and is the only one worthy of this review. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Inside pool open 24 hours. The room had everything we needed in it and had comfy bedding. Staff gave my child a beach ball to play with in the pool. Everything was great. I wish I would’ve found this hotel on my first trip here.

We’ve stayed at the St Robert Comfort Inn several times in several years. Overall, we’re pleased. This year, though, the room left much to be desired. For one thing, the lighting in the room (3 lamps) was much too dim; each lamp had only one low wattage bulb. Not even close to adequate. For another, the absence of carpeting gave the room a cold, echoey effect. Quite off-putting. Next year, I will call ahead to request a room with a carpet. If all of your rooms lack carpets we’ll go elsewhere. The lighting situation is easily fixed. We stayed at another Comfort Inn 2 nights later (Lordsburg, NM). That room also had 3 lamps, but each had 2 bulbs, which was a vast improvement over the lighting in your room. And the room was carpeted. You can do better.

Positively fantastic experience. Clean rooms and wonderful full breakfast in the morning. Easy location right off the highway. Very comfortable beds. Highly recommend and we will definitely return on our next trip West.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay! We came in to town for my son’s graduation from boot camp and I am so glad we stayed here! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and the staff were amazing! They were so friendly and accommodating….I especially need to mention Anjelica. She was so helpful and a joy to interact with! I highly recommend staying here and we definitely will if we are in the area again!

We chose this hotel for its convenient location near family, and it far exceeded our expectations. The staff were genuinely warm, personable, and professional—every interaction felt welcoming and attentive. The hot breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the saltwater pool was a highlight (clean, refreshing, and perfect for relaxing), and we loved the convenience of the snack shack. Everything felt safe, spotless, and well-maintained throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
