Spark by Hilton Oxford

I loved the rooms. I can tell it was an old hotel and they just remodeled the place before taking over but I loved the room. Hotels want you to reuse towels and washcloths but don’t give anywhere to hang them. Well this room has AMPLE space to hang towels to reuse them. Many hotels don’t have full body mirror, but this one does! Many hotels have no accessible outlets for regular plug or even to use the iron, but this place has MULTIPLE outlet options.. even in the toilet area!!!! They have stopped putting microwave and fridge in rooms and if they do the fridge is small.. well this room had a microwave and a MEDIUM fridge!!! Lastly, when dragging luggage in and out of the rooms, we typically have to fight those heavy room doors to stay open .. well not this place!! There is an amazing stopp

Room was clean, good location, wasn't noisy, quick on and off the highway. Breakfast was great - bagels, yogurt, cereal and toast and fruit. Room was small but comfortable and great shower

Positive: The area it was in Negative: As we payed for the room online the hotel required an additional 150$ for deposit and have not got it back This should have been known up front otherwise I would have booked some where else

This is a great hotel for a short term stay. The rooms were clean, and the hotel is modern and updated which gives me peace of mind and makes me feel at ease. It is very central to anything you would need: Interstate traveling, shopping, restaurants, etc. There is a small breakfast downstairs which was all I needed. They had yogurt, cereal, fruit, and maybe a couple of other things. I love that they had an oats and granola dispenser that I could add to my yogurt or my cereal. I also appreciated that they had an in room USB-C charger, as I feel many hotels only provide a USB. There are a few things I feel need improvement in someway: There was a very strong smell throughout the entire hotel of some kind of air freshener or cleaner. It's ok. Strange toilets, no water in the bowl but flushes great 🤷‍♀️. Really small bathroom and shower. Good price but you get what you pay for. I probably won't stay at a Spark again, I like a good value but Hilton shouldn't have gone there. 2 stars because the mattress wasn't half bad.
