Red Carpet Inn Oxford, AL

Great value. No complains. Staff is very courteous and kind. The girl working at front desk Nency is a wonderful host. Very helpful and adorable girl. I was planning to stay at Marriott in Oxford that very night but unfortunately they were sold out. Nency recommended me this motel as it was run by her family. The gentleman I guess is her father who works at red carpet inn. gave outstanding service. Very down to earth man, he made sure we were comfortable staying there. Would recommend 100 percent to anyone. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Check in wasn’t too bad, behind the plexiglass. The exterior of the motel is old brick. Got to our room that smelled musty. Checked out the cleanliness of the room. I was Leary of touching anything. Very dated and dirty looking furniture. Went to go to the bathroom and found pee on the toilet seat!! Had we not already unloaded our vehicle I would have demanded resolution. The man did come clean that. You would think he would have offered a discount at least. But NO. I ended up wiping things to include the pillows and sheets with Lysol wipes!! Do not recommend this “Inn!”

This is first time I had a problem. Neighbors had a party that lasted until 5 am. No sleep at all one of the two nights. I think their room # was 109. Feb 22-23. I spilled a little grapico on my pillow case by accident. My son had a few crumbs on his bed. They kept my 50 deposit . If you wash sheets in between rentals with a little bleach and soap problem solved. I hate this happened because I was a repeat customer at least 2 days a month. Never going back. Not personal. I asked for a way to speak with owner and wasn't given away to converse with them either by phone or email. Why would I want to discuss it with the same person that couldn't or wouldn't try to resolve. I'm sure they probably keep others deposit money also. Running toilet all night long... cigarette burns literally on everything including linens... ice bin full of water on top of closet shelf... about 15+ years of hair, dust, and stains everywhere... other guests outside room door all hours having the loudest conversations and playing music... roaches of all sizes crawling on and in everything, cover your drinks... dirty pillowcases with drool stains and hairs, glad I brought my own. The air filter was so gross we coughed all night until we just unplugged the air/heat unit completely... If we weren't already exhausted and notice the signs in the office saying WE DO NOT DO REFUNDS, which should have been our sign, we would not have stayed here! Gross, Gross, Gross... even for $70!

This place has bugs, smells horrible, just overall stay away no matter the price
